At the South East Asia Centre, we’re passionate about creating opportunities for our students and alumni to build practical, real-world skills that drive career success. As part of this commitment, last week, we held a dynamic workshop as part of our Critical Core Skills Series – Mastering Feedback and Communication Skills, led by Executive Coach Andrew Jones!
Throughout the 90-minute session, participants explored how to deliver clear and actionable feedback that encourages growth and strengthens trust. They also discovered how to receive feedback with openness, manage emotional responses, and extract valuable insights, even from the most challenging conversations. These skills are essential for fostering a growth-oriented culture, strengthening professional relationships, and positioning oneself for leadership advancement. The SBI (Situation-Behavior-Impact) model was a key takeaway for many, and the chance to practice with peers through roleplay and real-world scenarios also made the experience lively, hands-on, and highly rewarding!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for bringing your enthusiasm, passion for self-development and willingness to share. Your avid learning spirit was truly infectious and made the session an immensely impactful one! Hope to see everyone at the next one!
