Our inaugural intake of students for MA Educational Leadership in Practice which took place on 23-25 September 2022 was a successful one. They are a diverse group of students from different spectrums of the education industry, from early childhood, private institutions, public tertiary institutions, universities, international schools, etc. It’s amazing how the different genres of educators cross paths in this programme.
Conducted via HyFlex course delivery, our South East Asia students attended the session in person and while our East Asia Centre students joined the session via Zoom. Delivered by the programme director, Dr Paul Armstrong, our students participated enthusiastically in the discussions, with exchanges of ideas and experiences on models and research into educational leadership. We are honoured to have three guest speakers, Dr Amanda Heffernan, Professor Mel Ainscow – CBE, and Dr Bee Hughes who shared their valuable knowledge on educational leadership and its implications, adding more perspectives to the class. The dialogue flowed with passion between the students physically and online, and we are sure our students had a fruitful conference.
