On 10th July 2020, the University of Manchester Alumni Association of Malaysia (UMAAM) organised a virtual webinar on ‘Beyond pandemic – Planning for the “new normal”’.
The webinar discussed how the current pandemic is affecting people, but also how to prepare ourselves to return to a “new normal”. The session was aimed towards business leaders who are looking forward to the near to medium term, to provide them with a fresh perspective on the evolving situation as well as what potential implications they would need to consider for their organisations in such a situation.
The session was hosted by Mr Niki Gwee, Community Engagement Champion for BSI Malaysia, who also discussed the international standard for business continuity management, ISO 22301:2019, and how it can support business recovery preparations amidst companies’ plans to return to a “new normal”.
