How do you turn workplace tension into understanding? That’s what we explored in last week’s workshop, “From Drama to Dialogue: Resolving Conflict in Real Time”, with Executive Coach Andrew Jones — a session that transformed abstract ideas about conflict into lived, practical experience.
Through structured exercises inspired by Systemic Constellation and Forum Theatre, participants examined the emotions, perspectives, and power dynamics that lie beneath everyday workplace friction.
Sitting together in a circle, participants explored conflict not as opponents, but as collaborators in understanding. It was powerful to watch as they stood in each other’s shoes, shifted perspectives, and discovered that resolution isn’t about winning or losing — it’s about realigning our needs and our respect for each other.
What stood out most was the courage in the room, the openness to share real experiences, listen with empathy, and explore conflict with curiosity instead of judgment.
For many, the highlight of the workshop was how practical and engaging the experience felt, providing them with real tools they could use right away.
At the South East Asia Centre, we’re proud to offer workshops like these that help our students and alumni strengthen the interpersonal and leadership skills that make a real difference at work, and beyond!
