2024 is a special moment for The University of Manchester, as we reach an incredible milestone: our bicentenary.
This year we’re celebrating 200 years of learning, innovation and research. 200 years of our incredible people and community. 200 years of global influence and making a difference.
Our bicentenary is a moment to reflect on the past and our key discoveries, pioneering ideas and world firsts. And look forward to what our third century could bring, with our commitment to social responsibility guiding all that we do.
No birthday would be complete without a celebration or two – we’ve pulled out all the stops during this special year with a range of opportunities and events for everyone.
From a four-day festival on campus to a podcast series and student competition, it’s all of you who make us what we are, and we want everyone to feel involved.
Discover more about our university’s bicentenary.
