In this series of three workshops on Public Speaking and Presentation Skills we will follow Aristotle’s 3 practices for rhetorical success: we start with Logos (logic/structure), then Pathos (emotion/connection), ending with Ethos (speaker credibility/confidence).
In the first 90-minute workshop, Executive Coach, Andrew Jones will share insights from coaching leaders to understand their audience’s needs, organize their thoughts and structure their presentations for impact.
This is a practical hands-on workshop. To make the most of it, we encourage you to bring your work-in-progress presentations and questions about how to make persuasive professional arguments, recommendations, business cases and leave a lasting impression.
You will learn two simple tools to connect your audience to your objective, and your objective to your presentation structure. In the second half, Andrew will guide you how to use a consulting industry thought process to organize your arguments and make clear, powerful presentations in slides and in spoken communication.
Finally, we will practice how to apply the principle of ‘less is more’ to make individual slides and decks more impactful.
