We had a fantastic hybrid ‘Art of Networking and Cross-Cultural Communication’ event for our local and regional students and alumni at our South East Asia centre on 30 September 2021.
During the workshop, students and alumni learnt from Jenny Lie, Corporate Brand Trainer and Coach from Imageworks, who shared relatable strategies and tips that will shape and plot one’s networking ability.
Some key insights she touched on include tweaking our networking perception, strategies on social interaction, ‘working’ the room, and tips to bridge cross-cultural differences, especially in virtual settings. Using the strategist taught in the session, our attendees also had a chance for immediate action as they initiated hello and reached out to their network.
The session allowed our attendees to explore, demonstrate and engage in conversations. There was so much laughter around the room and online that our attendees had overwhelmingly positive feedback for the session.
We are looking forward to holding more of these networking workshops soon!
