A joyful New Year celebration organised by the South East Asia Centre brought together close to 70 alumni and students on 15 January 2026. With some travelling from across Southeast Asia, the evening was filled with great energy, warm conversations, and many familiar faces.
A warm welcome message from Nia Watkin Jones, MBA Assistant Director at AMBS, set the celebratory tone for the evening. Energising sharing from both Presidents from the alumni associations, Roch Tay, UOM Alumni Association of Singapore and Teo Teck Loon, AMBS Alumni Association of Singapore, highlighted the strengths of our alumni networks and the importance of staying connected across cohorts and borders, setting a confident and optimistic tone for the year ahead.
We concluded the evening by honouring Cindy Loh with the Dean’s Award for Achievement, celebrating her remarkable achievements and dedication. Warm congratulations to Cindy on this well-deserved recognition. On a separate occasion in Kuala Lumpur, the same award was also proudly presented to Dr Kuo Chern Ng in recognition of his exceptional accomplishments.
